Important information about sending and receiving money overseas in Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR) and French Pacific Franc (XPF)

Dear Customer,

Please be informed that effective 30 July 2021, Westpac will no longer be able to send and receive money overseas in SAR and XPF. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you need to transfer money to international bank accounts in Saudi Arabia and the French Pacific you may still do so in a different currency, such as AUD, USD or EUR. It is advisable to check with the beneficiary your sending money to if their bank can receive this currency.

If you have set up any recurring payments in SAR and XPF to be transferred to Saudi Arabia and the French Pacific, please note they will not be processed from 30 July 2021. We recommend you to either cancel or edit the currency of your recurring payment. Please follow the instruction attached for ‘how to cancel your recurring payment’.
