Some browsers may not be able to access Qvalent and Westpac applications with after 9 October 2017 unless you support the encryption standard known as "TLS 1.2".
These browsers do support the latest encryption standards:
When using most browsers, you will not have trouble accessing Qvalent and Westpac. But you may have trouble if:
- You are not using a supported internet browser, or
- Your browser has disabled the supported encryption protocols.
Testing your browser compatibility
To test your browser compatibility, you can visit the Browser TLS Version Check page.
Your browser is compatible
If your browser supports TLSv1.2 you will see the following.
If you are able to view the Browser TLS Version Check page without an error, then this change should not affect access to Qvalent and Westpac applications.
You must upgrade your browser
If your browser does not support TLSv1.2 you will receive the following page which has TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 disabled.
If see an error when you view the Browser TLS Version Check page, then this change may affect your access to Qvalent and Westpac applications.
When you receive an error, the page displays Steps for Resolution. Following these steps will help you change the settings in your browser, or upgrade to a newer version.

The following table lists the most common internet browsers. The table lists each browser with the compatibility of TLSv1.2 for recent versions.
