When will this change take place?
Please be advised that we are making important security changes to our support environment commencing on Thursday, 12 December 2024 from 14:00 AEDT. If you experience any issues connecting to the support environments post these changes, please contact the Qvalent Help Desk directly.
What are the changes?
As part of our ongoing security enhancements, you may notice that our public IP addresses are changing.
As per our guidelines and technical user guides for establishing a connection with Westpac/Qvalent, you should only access our environment by using the recommended Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) as our public IP address may change at any time without notice.
Fully Qualified Domain Names are also known as URLs.
When are we making the changes?
NON-PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT
Changes will be progressively made to each of the non-production environments on Thursday, 12 December 2024 from 14:00 AEDT.
Non-production environments can also be known as, Staging, Support or Test.
PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT
Changes to production environments are scheduled to be made on Tuesday, 14 January 2025 from 14:00 AEDT.
What do I need to do?
It’s recommended that you test your connectivity in our non-production environments before 14 January 2025.
In the event you experience disruptions to your services please contact the Qvalent Help Desk via email ilink_support@qvalent.com or phone 1300 726 370 between 07:00 and 19:00 (AEDT), Monday to Friday.
What is the new Qvalent/Westpac public IP address?
We are continually looking to provide improvements to our security, so URLs for Westpac/Qvalent services will no longer maintain static IP addresses.
My company currently white-list Westpac public IP addresses for all connections to these URL’s. What changes do I need to make to maintain a connection to our services?
You will need to remove any whitelisting of the Westpac/Qvalent public IP address and ensure you only access our environment using the URLs or Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) as our IP address may change at any time without notice.
Will this change impact SFTP connections?
No, this SFTP traffic will not be impacted. The changes only apply to HTTPS web and API services.
